Reviews: MI Metal Shows & Albums
Here’s Our Opinion.
A CONVERSATION WITH METAL LEGEND JOHN ARCH
this new album is another outstanding, progressive, and dynamic record from you and Jim Matheos
Amon Amarth – Berserker
12 blistering, galloping, uproarious, riff-laden odes to Viking vengeance
Ashen Chalice – Ljubiš li i dalje istinski?
Listening to Ljubiš li i dalje istinski? is not pleasant, but it feels so very necessary. The emotions are palpable. My arm hair stands on end. I feel like weeping. I feel like destroying. I feel like walking into the woods and never coming out.
Panzerfaust – The Suns of Perdition I: War, Horrid War
In the final analysis, this album is nearly thirty two minutes of near perfection. Maybe the word ‘near’ is not necessary in that last sentence.
East of the Wall – NP- Complete
you are thrown between metal, melodic, thrash, to transient, ambient and back to metal all within moments of one another
Hazard – Hazard EP
a late ‘70’s rock throwback, but with the modern knowledge of all the bands that came after.
H.C. Slim – Sings
H.C. Slim is the dusty crossroad where music lovers from all over can stop to take a rest and just peacefully listen to the short simplicities of a man roaming alone
Interview with Brian Tatler of Diamond Head
We spoke to Brian over the phone about new members, new music, and what it takes to keep rocking for four decades.
Deceased – Ghostly White
A captivating sense of melody binds all the disparate riffs, tempos, meter changes, and moody atmospheres together.
Amon Amarth – The Pursuit of Vikings: Live At Summer Breeze
a near-perfect overview of their storied career
