Primarily mid-paced in rhythms and riffing, predominate on Dakhalè, drawing the listener down into hypnotic contemplation.
Over the course of roughly forty three minutes, spread across five tracks, LaColpa assail the listener with a nightmare of nihilistic intensity.
Each listen leaves me simultaneously fulfilled and wanting more. Perhaps that is the sorcerous power of the sword.

It’s as if Derhead has distilled rage and pain, beauty and misery into a concentrated form.
There are many individually exceptional moments, but they don’t draw you away from the dark infernal majesty of the whole.
