I cannot think of ANY project that so effortlessly channels real emotion in their music.

Unlike many splits, this particular one shows consistent excellence. Kudos to Everlasting Spew for recognizing an opportunity to put together two bands that would mesh so well together, yet each show their own personality.
The album is a ripper, chock full of riffs and blast, thundering bass, manic yells, screams, and bile, a pinch of humor, and some well placed samples.
Take no prisoners, no holds barred, realest of the real, capital D for Death, capital M for Metal, Death Metal.
If you haven’t heard of Void Rot, the psyche consuming MinnDeath project from Minnesota, you’ve probably been living in a cave somewhere.
It is really the classic sound from the late 90’s that they most call forth.
Billed as black metal, the EP is actually black metal with atmospheric leanings that incorporates a ton of emotional hardcore influences in the way the material is presented. In terms of actual playing, it is fair to call this black metal.
