Reviews: MI Metal Shows & Albums
Here’s Our Opinion.
FEATURE: Feed Them Death – Panopticism: Belong/Be Lost
Undeniably intense, Panopticism requires determination and strength, but rewards the listener who takes up the challenge. The gauntlet has been thrown down. Will you take it up?
attic – Foster
They have created a graceful creature, ready to lead you on a journey of discovery. Allow them to do so.
黒い樹海 (KUROI JUKAI) – 黒い樹海 (KUROI JUKAI)
Sheer sonic obliteration.
Wake – Devouring Ruin
They’ve taken the venom they normally spew, distilled it, and slowed it down.
Pure Wrath – The Forlorn Soldier
The EP is visceral in a way that few are. Take the time to listen to the entirety of this release.
Lychgate – Also Sprach Futura
I listened to this EP about three times in a row, non-stop…unable to stop, really.
Spectral Lore & Mare Cognitum – Wanderers: Astrology of the Nine
What a ride this album has been, and what memories remain of the wonderful imagery that has been painted for you during this trip. Expect this record to stand the test of time… and be something that will live on as one of the greatest splits in recent history.
Medium – Medium
Equally capable of drawing you into a zone of thoughtful contemplation, as they are able to straight up punch you in the mouth, repeat listens reveal a quality of craftsmanship that I missed in my first listen.
Today Is the Day – No Good To Anyone
Always a visionary project, Today Is The Day shows a deep and abiding maturity on No Good To Anyone.
JGILBERT’S BEST OF 2019
the end ot the 10’s and the beginning of the 20’s should be taken as an opportunity to reflect on where we came from and re-evaluate where we’re going.
