What separates Herem from the others is Valendis Suomalainen. Her haunting growls make the skin crawl like worms and beetles devouring a graveyard corpse.
It’s my first Red Moon Architect experience, and I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting this to be so melodic. Everything is very dark and gloomy.
This is just some pure Finnish metal right to the core, amazingly heavy and energetic. I can’t seem to stop listening to it.
Queen of Hell sounds like it’s fresh off the time machine from the 1980s.
Jumalten Aika by Moonsorrow evokes a sort of blood drenched imagery. By no means is the album all brutality. In fact, Moonsorrow have created a richly layered tapestry of mythology, harsh beauty, and encompassing darkness.
