I don’t usually review singles, but I’ll make an exception in this case. As you know, I’ve been a fan of Zebulon Kosted for a long time. Never one to shy away from pushing boundaries, Rashid Abdel Ghafur takes one of his renowned hard left turns here. Most of the incredibly extensive discography is made up of variations of black metal and ambient music. Here on this single, Ghafur channels his inner prog and gives us a single more reminiscent of Voivod than anything else. The clean vocal attack even has a Snake-like quality at some points. Press play below for an incredibly interesting three minutes and thirty-five seconds, then join me in waiting with bated breath for the coming full length.
