Back near the end of June, Baltimore, MD based black metal band Nixil came through the Detroit area on tour. Their set was incredibly engaging and otherworldly. West Michigan bands Hellish Torment and The Black Temple opened for them, each bringing their own flavor of blackening to the table, with the prior giving a somewhat tongue in cheek, but technically adept blackthrash set, while the latter entered the realms of bestial black metal.
